Bonfire Night with Ben Salter
August 20th 2022

We joined one of Australia’s most prolific and highly regarded performers for a night of eclectic, esoteric melodies.  Salter’s original compositions draw on elements of indie rock, folk, jazz, electronica, country and beyond.  His previous collaborators include Marlon Williams, Vika & Linda Bull, Gareth Liddiard (The Drones/TFS), Emily Wurramara, Mike Watt (The Minutemen, Porno For Pyros, The Stooges), Bernard Fanning (Powderfinger) and more.

Art Farm Birchs Bay enjoyed a warm night of exquisite song at our one-of-a-kind venue.

Combining science with story-telling, music and the visual arts to journey through lutruwita’s geological history. Dr Penelope Jones (palaeo-ecologist) narrated this journey through our geological and ecological history, accompanied by evocative and interwoven music from Emily Sheppard, Yyan Ng and Georgia Shine. Along the way, Dr Amy Jackett, artist and curator, created original art inspired by the story. Watch full video here.
