Gate commission
We are inviting artists to apply for a commission to design and create a bespoke artistic gate (1.5 metres wide – could be up to 3m with second half fixed) for the entrance to our outdoor accessible sculpture trail. There will be large sandstone pavers underneath this outdoor foyer section where the new gate will be placed.
About the Project
The gate will mark the start of a welcoming, inclusive garden trail and should act as both a functional entrance and a sensory experience. It will be encountered up close and frequently touched, so tactile quality, safety, and accessibility are essential.
