From Pump Shed to Bird Hide
This year marks the 20th anniversary of our sculpture trail, a much-loved part of the local community. To celebrate, we are making the trail more accessible, with wider, level paths, multi-sensory features and tactile signage, guided by a landscape architect and advisors with expertise in disability and inclusion.
As part of this transformation, we want to turn an old pump shed overlooking the dam into an accessible bird hide—a safe, artistic, low-impact place to observe and learn about local birds through art.

Transforming the pump shed into a bird hide will create more than a viewing point, it will offer a quiet, sheltered retreat along the trail: a calm space for anyone seeking a moment of stillness in nature.
Your support will help fund building materials and construction, as well as an artist commission to create works inspired by the birds, feathers and nests visitors can discover at the hide.
